When to book each stage inspection on a Tarneit build
Slab, frame, lock-up, fixing and PCI: the right moment to inspect each stage and what is lost if you miss it.
Fixing is when plaster, doors, architraves, skirtings and cabinetry are installed and before painting starts. Items found now are corrected before paint covers them.
Tarneit's volume builders run finishing trades quickly. Bowed walls, misaligned cabinetry, doors that bind and plaster joints visible in natural light are the fixing findings we record most, and each is far cheaper to fix before the painters arrive.

Slab, frame, lock-up, fixing and PCI: the right moment to inspect each stage and what is lost if you miss it.

Straightness, bracing, tie-downs, lintels and openings. The frame stage is the last time the structure is fully visible.

Flashings, wall wrap, brick ties and mortar joints at lock-up. Membranes, upturns and falls before tiling. Two checks that prevent most water problems.

Fixing looks at the finishing trades before paint, so items can be corrected cheaply. PCI is the final list at practical completion, before you take the keys.
Yes. Cabinetry level and alignment, benchtop junctions and appliance provisions are checked before paint and splashbacks go in.
No. Waterproofing has its own inspection before the tiler starts, because the membrane is covered once tiling begins.
